VIRTUAL GROUP SERVICES





In the wake of the tragic shooting in Stockton, One New Heartbeat, Inc. is committed to supporting families, survivors, and all community members affected. No one should have to navigate trauma, fear, or grief alone. We are providing free, safe, and supportive virtual spaces where individuals can process what happened, connect with others, and receive comfort, grounding, and emotional support.


FREE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS

One New Heartbeat, Inc. is offering free emotional support services to anyone experiencing trauma, grief, fear, stress, or shock.

Our daily check-in spaces are designed to provide connection and stability during difficult times. Whether you are coping with recent events, ongoing stress, caregiving challenges, or daily life pressures, you are welcome here.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
  • Morning Session: 7:00 AM
  • Afternoon Healing Circle: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
  • Evening Session: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Pacific Standard Time

Participants may attend one, two, or all three sessions each week. All sessions offer support, grounding, and emotional connection.



ALTERNATIVES TO SUICIDE GROUPS

These groups use the Alternatives to Suicide approach, developed by the Wildflower Alliance in 2009. Instead of focusing on risk assessment or behavior control, the model emphasizes authentic conversations about suicidal thoughts in a non-judgmental environment.


The goal is to break silence, reduce stigma, and create space for honesty and connection.


Meetings take place every 1st and 3rd Wednesday 7:00 PM Pacific Time / 10:00 PM Eastern Time

COMMUNITIES IN CRISIS






At One New Heartbeat, Inc., we believe that no one should face life’s hardest moments alone. Communities in Crisis is a specialized initiative providing immediate, culturally rooted, compassionate support to individuals and families navigating overwhelming events or stressful transitions.

We are offering the following at no cost:

  • Free virtual support groups led by trained peer specialists
  • One-on-one crisis support sessions
  • Group healing circles and online processing spaces
  • Trauma-informed and culturally responsive support
  • Bilingual services in English and Spanish
  • Zero-cost services for all victims, families, and community members


SUPPORT PLANNING

We help individuals create personalized crisis support plans that reflect their values and provide clear direction for trusted supporters.

Our support planning services may include:

  • Identifying early signs and indicators that signal when help is needed Naming supporters and identifying who should not be involved
  • Assigning tasks and responsibilities for each supporter
  • Guidance for sharing information with employers, schools, or other systems
  • Documenting important medical, therapeutic, or medication information Clarifying roles related to finances, accounts, and essential contacts


SAFE AND INCLUSIVE SUPPORT SPACES

We offer culturally affirming spaces where individuals can share openly without stigma or judgment. Peer facilitators with lived experience walk alongside participants, offering hope, guidance, and connection. Post-crisis supports are available to help individuals regain emotional stability and long-term wellbeing.


WEEKLY CRISIS SUPPORT PLAN WORKSHOP

WRAP SUPPORT GROUP





A Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) provides tools and strategies for identifying troubling feelings or behaviors and responding with personalized action plans.

Our WRAP Support Group offers a safe environment to learn, practice, and strengthen recovery skills.

JOURNALING OUT LOUD





Journaling Out Loud is a supportive virtual group where participants explore expressive writing as a tool for healing, reflection, and emotional release. Writing is encouraged but entirely optional. Sessions begin with a wellness check-in and a writing prompt to help participants reflect and share insights if they choose.

Topics may include processing stress, releasing anger or sadness, identifying emotional patterns, and supporting self-awareness.

Sharing is always optional.

This space is grounded in compassion, self-discovery, and personal growth.
