  • Veterans Workshop

This Workshop is designed to help Veterans learn about Mental Health Recovery Concepts and skills on how to develop a Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP®)  All of the above topics will be covered using a workshop style, demonstrations, interactive discussion and related activities.

The foundation of the workshop is based on the following five Key Concepts

Hope, Personal Responsibility, Self-Advocacy, Education, Support

Self-monitoring using WRAP: A Wellness Recovery Action Plan®, an individualized system for monitoring and responding to symptoms that has helped numerous Veterans diagnosed with SMI, TBI, PTSD, social anxiety and bipolar disorders to achieve the highest possible levels of wellness.

This is an evidence based program that works for those of us that use it. Once participants  become comfortable with these concepts and learn how to incorporate them into their lives, they view the world much differently.

With each concept we see how different the future can look. For some of us the future can at times look very bleak, hopeless, limited and even scary (Many are already in the Crisis stage).

What we offer is an opportunity for participants to look towards the future with hope and to see the unlimited possibilities for real happiness and fulfillment, while providing them the support needed to be successful.

*This is an ongoing Support Group. We meet every Friday from 6:30pm-8:00pm

  • Parents & Youth Groups

We provide a safe learning environment that focuses on youth's strengths and away from any perceived deficits.  Many children experience internal and external damage at an early age, whether it’s at home, school, or any part of their community. We facilitate The Wellness Recovery Action Plan (W.R.A.P.) workshops, support groups and Facilitator Trainings to assist young people that experience
     • Bullying
    • Self-mutilation
     • Eating disorders
     • Substance abuse
    • Sadness and difficult feelings
Working step-by-step through the wellness process described in the 5 Key Concepts of Recovery and W.R.A.P. to give participants easy to use skills and strategies that will serve them throughout their life while enhancing self-understanding and building self-esteem. Used successfully by many young people and their supporters, this workshop guides them through the process of finding what works well and less well for themselves and getting on the road to feeling happy and creating healthy lifestyles. WRAP focuses on strengths and personal success.

Workshop / Support Group meets the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Fridays of each month from 6:30pm-8pm at 1718 Broadway, Redwood City, CA 94063
